On Friday, Apr 20 2007, Penn's Civilians will hold its 2nd Annual Fundraising Dinner at Le'Papillon at Toftrees Resort in State College, Pennsylvania. The purpose of the event is not only to raise money to support Penn's Civilians' programs, but to also create awareness of the organization and build positive relationships with community members.

2nd Annual Fund Raising Dinner  


  • On Friday, Apr 20 2007, Penn's Civilians will hold its 2nd Annual Fundraising Dinner at Le'Papillon at Toftrees Resort in State College, Pennsylvania. The purpose of the event is not only to raise money to support Penn's Civilians' programs, but to also create awareness of the organization and build positive relationships with community members.

  • Blair Thomas, former Penn State Football great, will serve as honorary chairperson for the event.

  • Larry Johnson, Sr, current Penn State Football coach, will serve as honoree for the event.

  • The evening will bring together current and former professional and collegiate athletes, respected community leaders, corporate sponsors and current student participants and their families.

  • Our goals are to raise $10,000 and to have 120 people in attendance.
  • Fund raising levels:

a. Presenter $3,000
-Naming rights on dinner program
-PSA Announcement
-Attendance list access
-Dias availability
-Banners (supplied by sponsor)
-Marketing material distribution with Penn's Civilians name
-Recognition through the Media

b. Cocktail $2,000
- PSA Announcement
- Dias availability
- Marketing material distribution with Penn's Civilians name
- Recognition through the Media

c. Table Sponsor $1,000
-Marketing material distribution with Penn's Civilians name
-Recognition through the Media
-Flag on the table

The fundraising program will feature some prominent PSU and professional sports figures from over the last 3 decades. Scheduled to attend are:

Wally Richardson
Kenny Jackson
Brian Allen
Chris Bahr
Dennis Onkotz
Troy Drayton
Greg Buttle
John Gilmore
Rogers Alexander
and many others

There will also be a silent auction including these items: Autographed mini helmets from the players in attendance Autographed photos from those in attendance as well as other PSU sports greats such as Joe Paterno.
