Welcome to the
website of Penn's Civilians Educational Organization (Penn's
Civilians).

Penn's Civilians is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable
organization of purely public interest.

With unique programs designed to advance and affirm Pennsylvania's youth, Penn's Civilians' organization began at Steelton High School and has recently been introduced to the State College School District. With your help, we will continue to reach out to the young people of our State.

Carver's Secret Garden

George Washington Carver rose above the challenges of slavery, poverty, and an inferior physical condition to become one of America's greatest educators. In spite of his hardships, he earned a master's degree in agriculture and was appointed by Tuskegee's founder and first president, Booker T. Washington, to develop and direct the University's department of agriculture. Funded in part by the United States Department of Agriculture, Carver and Washington developed an outreach program which Carver believed to be his most significant contribution toward the education of people.

			Former Nittany Lion defensive
end draws on his artistic experience to help Penn's Civilians raise
money. One of Rice's latest paintings will be auctioned off in support
of the charity, which offers assistance to disadvantaged children.

			Supporters of Penn's Civilians
will have more than just celebrities to gawk at when they attend the
charitable organization's fundraising dinner next month. There's also a
new painting by former Penn State (http://pennstate.scout.com/) defensive end Matthew Rice.
